Registration Information

SAIL is an a la carte program designed to support parents in providing a high quality education for their children with a like-minded Biblical worldview based on our Statement of FaithWe offer a variety of classes for students from grades 5 - 12. Families participating in SAIL are required to adhere to the SAIL Handbook and the SAIL Covid Mitigation Plan.

Registration
Registration usually begins in March.  Because we are finalizing changes to a new website, we do not have an official starting date for registration, but we hope within the next couple of weeks to be able to get started.  
We give priority to teacher's families and returning SAIL families.
Week 1: SAIL/Compass Teachers' Students
Week 2: Returning SAIL Families
Week 3: New SAIL Families

Recommended Course Progressions
Class sequence is recommended but not required, unless prerequisites must be met.

Payment
1) At the time of registration, you will be required to pay the $100 registration fee.  Until you pay this fee, your student will not be placed on a class roster.
2) On June 1st, half the Class Fee and the Materials Fee will be due.
3) On September 1st, the remaining balance of the Class Fee will be due.

Required Paperwork
Parents registering their children for SAIL classes must read and sign:
1) SAIL Handbook
2) SAIL Covid-19 Release and Agreement
3) General Waiver & Release of Liability
You will be prompted to read and sign these documents during the registration process.

Parent Volunteering
In order to keep the day moving smoothly, we do require all parents, or a representative of the family (Mom, Dad, teen), to assist with Morning Set Up, Afternoon Clean Up, Morning Front Desk Duty, and Afternoon Front Desk Duty.

New Student Interview
Students must complete an interview with the SAIL Director before officially registering for classes.  Contact our SAIL DIrector, Shelley Whisenant to schedule an interview.

Writing Sample and Questionnaire

If you are planning on registering your student for a writing class for the first time this coming school year, please have your student submit a writing sample using the writing prompts that are linked in the heading above.  Returning writing students do not have to submit a writing sample.

Please send your student's writing sample to the teacher who teaches the class for which you hope to register your student.

British Literature will be offered for the 2021-22 school year.  All students should submit a writing sample to Elizabeth Spence of at least three paragraphs responding to a poem or fiction/non-fiction book.
